MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — Walters State volleyball coach Megan Blaylock has announced the dates for her upcoming Walters State Volleyball Camps to be held inside the college’s ‘Z’ Buda Gymnasium.
There will be three different levels of clinics, as girls in grades K-5 will have a days of instruction on June 17, girls in grades 9-12 will have a two-day clinic on June 17-18 and girls in grades 6-8 will have an opportunity for instruction on June 24-25.
The cost is $30 for grades K-5 and $80 for grades 6-12. For high school players, the clinic will run from 9 a.m. until noon both days, the middle school clinic will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. both evenings and the K-5 clinic will be from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The primary goals of the camps are to help players that are interested in learning and improving fundamental volleyball techniques and skills. The clinics are a way to teach proper fundamentals in a fun-filled environment.
Instructors in addition to Blaylock will be assistant coach Erika Waycaster and the Walters State volleyball players. Each attendee is asked to arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Each player will receive a T-shirt at the end of the session. Applications must be received a week in advance in order to receive a T-shirt. Walk-ins are welcome but cannot be assured a shirt.
Walters State employees will receive a $10 discount per player. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
