Ed Arnold -  General Manager

Ed Arnold became the General Manager for WCRK and WMTN in January of 2008. Ed has been in broadcasting since 1979 and attended school at Bryan College , Roane State Community College and the University of Tennessee . He worked at WCRK twice before.

The third time must have been the charm! Ed is in the Rotary Club and attends Lakeway Community Church . He
is the proud single father of his son Luke and enjoys camping, hiking, live music, events, reading, great movies and spending time with friends and family.



Stephanie Christian—Office/Traffic Manager

Stephanie has been with WCRK/WMTN Radio since June 2008. She and her family live in Whitesburg, where they are active members at Highland Baptist Church. She worked for WCRK in the early ‘90’s. Stephanie says she’s glad to be back; some of the same faces; some new. In her spare time she enjoys playing piano, spending time with her family and taking Kung Fu!


Tim Crews 

Tim is a 25-year veteran of Morristown radio, having held numerous management, sales and on air positions. Tim has been an active member of the March of Dimes regional board of directors in Johnson City, Hamblen County United Way’s Loaned Executives program, Morristown Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Morristown Association and Greene County Partnership.

He is a graduate of Morristown West High School, the Professional Academy of  Broadcasting in Knoxville and Dale Carnegie Training. Tim, his wife Melissa and their daughter Heather, 16, live in Whitesburg and attend Robertson Creek Baptist 
Church in Hawkins County. Most of all, Tim loves people and helping businesses grow to success. You can reach him at 423-839-6549.

Ed Dodson 

For many years now, WCRK listeners have literally grown up listening to the voice of Ed Dodson each morning. You can hear Ed from 5 to 9 each weekday morning on WCRK. Ed was born and raised in Athens, Tennessee where he graduated from McMinn County High School. He then attended Tennessee Wesleyan College and served four years in the United States Air Force. Ed is an active member of Alpha Baptist church in Morristown. His favorite hobby is golf (whenever he can play!) His favorite book is he Bible and he loves history. Ed has one daughter, Vicki Ellen Short, and six grandchildren.

Virgil Everhart


Virgil Everhart, a native of Morristown, has worked for WCRK in various roles over the years. Virgil has served as both an on-air personality, a news reporter and for the last three years as a sideline reporter for WCRK’s broadcasts of his beloved East High Hurricanes Football team. Virgil, who is also an attorney, is married to Melissa McDaniel-Everhart. They have two children, Suzanne who plays softball for Roane State Community College and Joshua who plays football at Morristown East. You can hear Virgil every weekday afternoon from 2 to 7 pm.

Mike Rypel

Mike Rypel joined 1150 WCRK as News/Sports Director in August of 2002. In 2004, he was honored with the Broadcast Media Award from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency. This is the 7th year for Mike as "The Voice of the Morristown East High Hurricanes". He is the play-by-play announcer for East High football, basketball and baseball on WCRK. Prior to WCRK, Mike worked in Lima and in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Mike graduated from Bowling Green State University where he had the thrill of announcing 4 years of sports (football, basketball, hockey and baseball) for the Division 1 NCAA Bowling Green Falcons. His top memories include football broadcasts at Penn State, Ohio State and Louisiana Tech. Mike had the privilege of calling future NFL star WR Randy Moss' final TD catch of his collegiate career at Marshall University and Hall of Fame Coach Joe Paterno's 300th career coaching victory at Penn State. Top basketball memories include broadcasts at Indiana University and covering future NBA players. Mike was also honored to announce college hockey play-off games at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
