Ed Arnold -  General Manager

Ed Arnold became the General Manager for WCRK and WMTN in January of 2008. Ed has been in broadcasting since 1979 and attended school at Bryan College , Roane State Community College and the University of Tennessee . He worked at WCRK twice before.

The third time must have been the charm! Ed is in the Rotary Club and attends Lakeway Community Church . He is the proud single father of his son Luke and enjoys camping, hiking, live music, events, reading, great movies and spending time with friends and family.

 


Mike Rypel

Mike Rypel joined AM-1150 WCRK News/Sports Director in August, 2002. In 2004, he was honored to receive the Broadcast Media Award from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.

He previously worked at a Clear Channel Communications 5 station cluster in Lima , Ohio , where he served as News Assistant and Studio Engineer from January 2001 to July 2002.

Rypel also served a summer internship at Cleveland , Ohio 's AM-1100 WTAM.

The 2007-08 school year marked the 6th year for Rypel as "The Voice of Morristown East

Hurricanes Sports" on WCRK Radio. He serves as the play-by-play announcer for Hurricanes' football, basketball and baseball.

Mike is a Cleveland , Ohio native and a 1999 graduate of Bowling Green State University (OH).

He had the thrill of announcing 4 years of sports (football, basketball, hockey and baseball) for the Division 1 NCAA Bowling Green Falcons. His top memories include football broadcasts at Penn State , Ohio State and Louisiana Tech. He had the privilege of calling (future NFL star)

WR Randy Moss' final TD catch of his collegiate career at Marshall University and Hall of Fame Coach Joe Paterno's 300th career coaching victory at Penn State .

Top basketball memories include broadcasts at Indiana University and covering future NBA players

Bonzi Wells, Wally Sczerbiak, Earl Boykins and Antonio Daniels. Mike was also thrilled to announce college hockey play-off games at Joe Louis Arena ( Detroit , MI ).


Tim Crews

Tim Crews is a 25-year veteran of Morristown radio, having held numerous management, sales and on air positions. Tim has been an active member
of the March of Dimes regional board of directors in Johnson City, Hamblen County United Way’s Loaned Executives program, Morristown Chamber of 
Commerce, Downtown Morristown Association and Greene County Partnership.

He is a graduate of Morristown West High School, the Professional Academy of Broadcasting in Knoxville and Dale Carnegie Training. Tim, his wife Melissa and
their daughter Heather, 16, live in Whitesburg and attend Robertson Creek Baptist Church in Hawkins County. Most of all, Tim loves people and helping businesses
